HC-09 Bluetooth module is a CC2541 based module, with a very small size, very easy to embed to many kinds of projects that need bluetooth, plus the CC2541 is a power-optimized SoC solution for both Bluetooth low energy and proprietary 2.4-GHz application. So, Bluetooth combines MCU, a perfect solution for low cost, low energy and small size projects!
You can connect to its serial port and use AT command to configure the module. This module can switch freely between Master mode and slave mode.
